I cerelessly clicked on some M$' C#-DevKit icon in vscode and decided to give it a try and catch. The installer asked for a re-launch of vsc and it started downloading #net-7 without asking, even though I didn't change anything in the config. It turns out my Omnisharp config is changed or most likely the extension itself is gone now. Thank you. Aah, the memories of Win98. And I need this stuff for experimenting with Avalonia which is also sort of strange and requires some tricks in order to get their template "project" to even compile. Never have so many understood so little about so much . . .
